The situation in the Tovuz direction remains tense

On the morning of July 16, units of the Armenian armed forces again attempted to attack our positions on the site of the Tovuz region of the Azerbaijan-Armenia state border.

At the same time, the villages of Agdam, Dondar Gushchu and Vahidli of the Tovuz region were fired from large-caliber weapons and mortars. There are no casualties among the civilian population.

Currently, there are fights in this direction. Our units control the operational situation.

The tactical UAV belonging to Armenia was destroyed

On July 16 in the morning, the units of the armed forces of Armenia, using the tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) “X-55”, attempted to carry out a reconnaissance flight over the positions of the units of Azerbaijan Army in the direction of the Tovuz district of the Azerbaijan-Armenia state border.

Due to the vigilance of our units, the enemy’s UAV was immediately detected and destroyed.

Military operations in the Tovuz direction continue

Starting from 05.45 on July 16, active military operations are being conducted in the direction of the Tovuz region of the Azerbaijan-Armenia state border.

In the fighting that has been ongoing to date, up to 20 servicemen, 1 armored vehicle, 1 electronic warfare (EW), combat posts and strongholds of the enemy have been destroyed by the precise fire of our units.

A serviceman of the Azerbaijan Army, soldier Ismayilov Nazim Afgan was killed during the combat operations.

The leadership of the Ministry of Defense expresses condolences to the family of the deceased serviceman. May Allah rest the souls of Shehids in peace!

Our units are undertaking retaliatory actions to suppress the combat activity of the enemy.
